hi there!
so today I went out and took some photos with my mamiya rb67 and Ryan helped me out by repurposing a water bottle into an extra long trigger for my camera
the trigger is basically one of these,
but the tube is really really long and instead of a little button making the needle extend, I just squeeze the water bottle and the air pressure pushes the needle which takes the picture
I babbled a bit about it on instagram, follow me if you'd like, my username is sealegslexi
this shows how far the trigger reaches
you can buy something really similar online here!
okay so here are the pictures! I brought two tripods with me, one for picture taking and one as a stand in so I could try to get my photos in focus (it worked for the most part..?)
okay yay
wow, Lexi, these are amazing! (as always)
ReplyDeleteI seriously love every single one of these <3 you are so talented
ReplyDeleteI love all the details and little pieces of work that go into your photos.
ReplyDeleteAlso I'm loving your hair at this length!
Would you mind saying what film you use and how to attach a polaroid back to a medium format camera? the style is just so fascinating to me and i want to learn!
ReplyDeleteI have that exact cable release! :] but it broke a while ago and all attempts to fix it have been futile, i'll figure it out eventually. thankfully they're pretty cheap. it was fun taking self-portraits with film for a while though. love these polaroids!
ReplyDeletethese are supercool. the last one is so interesting, it looks like a nighttimepicture, but at the same time the light on your face seems to be the light of the afternoon sun. all that black space around you is really beautiful. plus those lightleaks at the bottom look like candles or something, making a really beautiful composition.
ReplyDeleteawesome post :)
ReplyDeleteI love it!
