NYC 2013

Okay so listen, this is going to be a hefty one. Beware, there are a lot of images in here. My trip to New York City was absolutely incredible and couldn't have been possible without the help of my friends, especially Keyana, who housed me and took me all around the city, making my first trip as special as possible. She is the best and deserves a round of applause or something.

On my first full day in the city I didn't take any photographs, I was out and about with Keyana seeing Jimmy Fallon and exploring SVA. So the next day I met Natalie, Lissy, (who I have known for like four years! It was a dream come true) Billeh, and Cara at a coffee shop (I got there all by myself!! using a bus and keyana's help!) and we explored the guggenheim, met up with Keyana and Molly, and then headed to the met!We also met up with Sam later who was so awesome to meet, we basically grew up with photography and flickr at the same time, with the same people as inspirations.

This film, by James Nares, was playing in the Met and I had been telling Natalie earlier in the day how I had seen it in my local museum and that it was incredible. So happy that everyone got to experience it.

The next day I hopped on a bus (actually I ran to the bus stop with Keyana and lost my metro card, and my bus was full, but yeah okay eventually I ended up on a bus) to Boston to see Emily! It was so much fun, we had so much delicious food and I even got to meet her lovely little cat Luna and boyfriend Joe. It snowed a lot in Boston which initially, was really awesome. But later became really inconvenient and painful. In Boston Emily and I met up with Sarah and Nishat for photos and dinner. image

After Boston, Emily and I headed back to the city for the meet up, which was incredbile. There were so many loving and talented people and I can't even begin to name everyone so here is a group shot and link to the meet up album I have on facebook because I am not about to embed all of those onto this giant post as well. Seriously though, it was probably one of the best days of my entire life.image
And on Sunday, my last day in the city, Keyana took me site seeing. We walked the Brooklyn Bridge, went to the high line and had a blast.

  2. When I went to NYC for the first time, it was with a huge group from school and was very rushed. I would love to go back again. It looks like you had an amazing experience! :)
